Unlike so many other genre conventions, Creation Entertainment has a strict company policy not to "oversell" our conventions. In other words, every patron, no matter what bracket of ticket they purchase, will have a seat in the main auditorium where the major guests appear and events take place. Nothing upsets us more than hearing about other conventions that sell tickets to patrons and then those very same patrons have to wait on additional lines inside the facility to get into (or sometimes not!) the main theatre. An important Creation Entertainment difference we want you to know about!

The Creation difference extends to our 40 years experience in running fan conventions. In the last few years we've seen promoter after promoter fail taking hard earned ticket money down with them. Inexperienced promoters, often first-timers, use celebrity images and names to get ticket money which they use to hopefully pay their expenses. When that fails they've already gone through "your" ticket money and they collapse leaving no recourse for ticket holders. They say "buyer beware" but this has happened in Twilight, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and Firefly fandom (to name just a few) and we really feel for those great fans who have lost their ticket money and upset travel plans.

Creation celebrates our many years of Convention Memories

 

ALL GUESTS are contracted to appear and all convention contracts specify that appearances are tentative and subject to change as film and television work demands take precedence as can a personal conflict. Our events will take place whether a specific guest cancels or not (we always try to book replacements) and therefore we can not issue admission ticket or ticket package refunds if a particular guest does not fulfill their appearance contract. Of course we will always refund separately purchased photo ops and autograph tickets for a guest if they cancel.

PHOTO TAKING POLICY AT THIS CONVENTION
We know that taking photos makes the convention even more fun and we thought it would be a good idea to share our photo taking policies for you before you arrive at the convention so you can prepare. In the auditorium, photo taking is encouraged, but only from your seat. It is unfair to run up to the stage and block the view of others who have paid for reserved seats in front of you. Even if there are empty seats, patrons must sit in the seats they paid for to be fair to everyone. Due to fire marshall regulations everyone must be seated during performances. Please also be courteous to your neighbors when taking pictures. Photo taking is not allowed during autographing sessions nor during the photo ops. Only those people who have autograph tickets may come up to get autographs. At the Gold Exclusive Parties and Breakfast: photo taking is encouraged when the guests arrive (but only from your seats). After a sufficient time for all to get their photos we ask that your cameras be placed down so the celebrities can enjoy their time at the two food functions. Thank you for understanding the need to have these few rules so everyone is safe and has fun.

The vast majority of our guest celebrities take questions from the audience during their on-stage time. Therefore it is incumbent upon those that ask questions to make them ones that allow our mutual shared time with the celebrities to be enjoyable, interesting and entertaining for all (including the guest). Asking for hugs, telling stars we love them (we all do, that's why we're here), giving gifts, getting into long personal stories, or worse, is not acceptable for this format and, in fact, is quite self-centered when you are in essence "representing" all of fandom to a celebrity. Join us in trying to make this convention the best entertainment for everyone!

Most customers receive their PDF tickets within 3 business days of having placed their order. Please make sure to bring ALL your printed out tickets to the convention as we can not replace any tickets forgotten or lost. This holds true for all ticket-buyers domestic and outside of The United States as we no longer have a will-call or hold ticket desk. Our convention sites generally have a business office where you can print out your tickets if you have left them home by mistake. There is no doubt that The Annual FARSCAPE Convention is outrageous fun for all in attendance. The celebrity guests are amazingly friendly and cherish their fans and the fans definitely like to have a great time! The fan/celebrity interaction is off the hook incredible! We're so happy to be part of this wonderful fandom and we look forward each year to being with the enduring Farscape family! Make your plans now to spend a weekend like no other at The Official Farscape Convention 2010. It isn't the same without YOU!

And, we are continuing what was a HUGE sensational hit in 2009: the tradition of having our Official STARGATE Convention in the same hotel, the same weekend. That means that attendees at both shows will have the opportunity to get autographs and photo ops with ALL the celebrities and our parties and breakfasts will have stars from both. And Gold Weekend Patrons from either show can attend the other FREE (space permitting in general admission sections) and this worked out tremendously well in 2009.

Now if you know Creation Entertainment, you know we're always trying to make things MORE exciting for our loyal attendees (many have been with us for years and years) and so for the 2010 Farscape/Stargate Weekend we are adding ANOTHER cool convention the same weekend: It is Creation's Salute to FIREFLY, BUFFY & ANGEL, and DOLLHOUSE! Same rules apply: all guests available for autographs and photo ops to all attendees and GOLD WEEKEND PATRONS at any convention are welcomed FREE into the other (space permitting in the general admission sections!)

October 8, 2010: Lani Tupu has notified us he has to cancel out of the convention as he must be in Singapore for a new movie role. We wish him the best and hope to see him at a future convention. Those that purchased Lani's autograph or photo op ticket can use those as cash at the convention for other tickets or Creation table merchandise.

August 20, 2010: Gigi Edgley will be filming her new show in Australia and is unavailable to attend the convention. We certainly hope to have her with us next time as she is the best! Those who have already purchased separate Gigi autographs or photo op tickets can use those as "cash" at the convention to buy other stuff. Thanks!

JIM HENSON COMPANY LOT!

Saturday Morning, Nov. 6th, 2010

The gates of the historic Charlie Chaplin Studio in Hollywood, current home to The Jim Henson Company, have been opened! Creation Entertainment, in association with The Jim Henson Company, offers an exclusive 90 minute tour of the studio/lot on Saturday morning November 6th, 2010 (the Official Farscape Convention will start later that day to accommodate the scheduling of the tours), including comfortable bus shuttle to/from the lot from Marriott Los Angeles Airport where the Convention is taking place.

Conducted by Henson employees with special knowledge of the studio and company history, this fascinating tour will include a special viewing in the historic screening room about the history and lore of the lot; a visit to Charlie Chaplin's own office suites and a look inside of Brian Henson's own offices/workspace; visits to the Reception Building which houses historic props, costumes and numerous awards; a visit to the Charlie Chaplin Sound Stages (unless currently in use); a stop in front of the Henson Recording Studio which is the former world famous Herb Alpert facility of A & M Records where Michael Jackson and cast filmed/recorded "We Are The World"; a demonstration by a Henson performer of the puppeteer process (including a hands on demonstration of the state of the art Emmy Award-winning Henson Digital Puppetry Studio); a look at some Creature Shop creations and assets as well as priceless props/wardrobe from Farscape, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, etc.; and a specially shot souvenir photograph of you in a very special setting taken by Creation's professional photographer; MOST but not all of the lot is handicap accessible (and we will provide special needs assistance as needed).

Tours leave the Marriott at: 9:00 AM (lot tour runs 9:30 AM-11 AM).

Note that the tour is not part of any ticket package and must be ordered separately. Please also note that you do not have to be attending the Farscape Convention to attend this tour.

On Sunday morning (8:30am) fans from around the world will come together for an annual event that is always tons of fun! It is our FARSCAPE Breakfast and Silent Charity Auction headlined by the one and only BEN BROWDER, joined by fellow genre stars including his wife, Farscape guest star FRANCESCA BULLER and from FIREFLY, STARGATE and now starring on "V" MORENA BACCARIN and popular Firefly star SEAN MAHER. Our auction benefits the James Ellis Foundation of Hofstra University. This great charity (which donates ALL of raised funds) helps students affected by cancer in their efforts to attend college. Creation and its loyal audience has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for this charity and it is always a pleasure to do so. Click on through to read more about the charity.

Tickets for the Sunday Morning "Ben & Friends" Breakfast are $99 each and available in limited supply. A continental breakfast will be served.

It is a great pleasure to welcome back RICHARD MANNING to The Official FARSCAPE Convention on Sunday. Ricky served as Executive Producer on Farscape as well as co-producer of Star Trek: The Next Generation. He has written 10 episodes of Farscape and 8 episodes of TNG, as well as many other shows both in and out of the genre.

As an extra treat for all of our great attendees Creation Entertainment is happy to present this special FREE PARTY for all! We've had a great time with our CREATION FRIDAY NIGHT Karaoke Parties at past events so come sing, watch, or raise a few with Creation staff, fellow fans and surprise celebrity guest drop-ins! You never know who might show up and it is a great way to mix and mingle! Exact times and locations will be announced on the printed schedule available at the convention itself (or on-line by the Wednesday prior to the opening day) ENJOY!

Set for Saturday here is your chance to show off your creative abilities by dressing as any character or making up your own. THE GREAT CREATION DESSERT PARTY CENTERPIECE CONTEST

Another way that fans can show off their love of the shows we're honoring is by entering our famous themed CENTERPIECE CONTEST! This event takes place at our DESSERT PARTY (Saturday Evening) and is for Gold Members attending the event this weekend! Create the very best centerpiece that touches the hearts of our judges and the themes of the convention and you might just win a special $250 Gift Certificate! Just be "GOLD" and bring your entry to the party and that's all it takes to enter!

2010 FINAL FRELLIN' FAREWELL MUSIC VIDEO COMPETITION

Rules: one music video about Farscape may be submitted on DVD only (please no computer- based media like CD accepted). PLEASE USE ONLY NTSC FORMAT FOR YOUR DVD. Entries are judged on the following criteria: video quality, audio quality, editing quality, inventiveness, song selection, and originality. Humorous submissions are encouraged. Entries can not be returned, and person submitting entry is granting Creation the right to play this entry in perpetuity at Creation events worldwide and/or on line at the Creation website(s). Creation does not sell music videos so your entry will never be sold as a commercial product, just presented at our events/on line. Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate good for Creation products. Winners will be announced and certificates awarded on site at the event; if you are not present we will mail the certificate to you so be sure to include your return address, phone number and e-mail. You may email our offices at to confirm receipt of your entry but we do not announce winners until the event. All entries are due at Creation offices by October 6, 2010 with no exceptions. 4) UPDATE FEB. 22, 2010: Complimentary admission to the Friday Night Celebrity Cabaret in the Gold Section. Due to popular request we are doing a giant cabaret featuring celebrities from both Stargate and Farscape.
Because there are now two sets of gold patrons involved we can not guarantee same seats you had during the day but this will be made up by the fact that we will have lots more cool performers to enjoy! AUTOGRAPHS

Autograph and Photo Op Tickets do not include admission to the convention. You must have an admission ticket for the convention in order to redeem autograph and photo op tickets.

Here's the chance to receive in-person autographs from your favorite sci-fi celebrities. Note that if you have a particular autograph as part of your ticket package and want a 2nd (or more) signatures you can have all your signing done at once when you first go up to the celebrity. Autographs are done in a non-rushed comfortable manner.

October 8, 2010: Lani Tupu has notified us he has to cancel out of the convention as he must be in Singapore for a new movie role. We wish him the best and hope to see him at a future convention. Those that purchased Lani's autograph or photo op ticket can use those as cash at the convention for other tickets or Creation table merchandise.

August 20, 2010: Gigi Edgley will be filming her new show in Australia and is unavailable to attend the convention. We certainly hope to have her with us next time as she is the best! Those who have already purchased separate Gigi autographs or photo op tickets can use those as "cash" at the convention to buy other stuff. Thanks!

Note: Patrons must bring an item for celebrities to sign. You can bring something from home or purchase a photo or other collectible in the vendors room. Please feel free to purchase as many autograph tickets of a particular celebrity as you'd like.

Note: Guests appear ONE day of the convention, so therefore their autographing and/or photo ops take place that day, except in VERY rare occasions which will be noted. If you are not attending all days of the convention it is wise to wait until specific days of appearance are announced before purchasing autographs or photo ops. You must have an admission ticket to the convention to get autographs or photo ops.

Photo Op Tickets do not include admission to the convention. You must have an admission ticket for the convention to enter into the photo op areas. Due to security considerations and guest concerns we cannot facilitate the giving of gifts to guests at the photo op sessions.

Your photo will be taken by Creation's all knowing and super-powerful official staff photographers. They take the best pictures, make the stars comfortable & willing to pose more freely with fans, and generally are beloved by all. Parking: The hotel offers special parking rates for those coming to the convention of $15 a day (self parking) and $23 a day (valet).

Creation Entertainment holds a "block" of rooms for our attendees as described above. These blocks of rooms have a lower rate than standard rates at the hotel, but they also have a "cut-off" point after which hotels may choose to revert back to their own higher rates for our customers. Usually this cut off date is one month prior to the event, but this does vary. Therefore it is always wise to book your rooms for our conventions as early as possible.
